And here we present more of the family! This here's Diego, an easygoing, happy, and somewhat lazy durian!

Diego is fairly young, only about a couple months old, though possessed intelligence of at least that of a child. Diego wasn't always so sentient. Before this, Diego was no more than a regular durian, but found himself a test subject of the genetics scientist Canny Jansen, who was conducting experiments in an effort to make... well, sentient fruits. The process involved preforming gene therapy on each fruit she tested, but the exact requirements for success were very specific. as a result, the majority of her experiments proves... fruitless. That is, until she preformed her experiments on Diego. Not only did Diego grow limbs and a body, but also a brain! Though not future experiments proved successful, after the success that was Diego, Canny no longer cared about these experiments any more, more than satisfied with what she had already done. She even began treating Diego like a son.

Despite being a bit lazy, Diego loves to help out with whatever he can. as a result, he spends much of his time in the labs helping Canny. even if he lacks her level of genius... and madness, he is more than happy simply being her assistant. when not in the labs, Diego often enjoys loafing about with some snacks and video games at his disposal. Despite that, he does go outside plenty often, mostly just to bask in the sun. With his rather homebody lifestyle however, Diego finds himself lacking in the friend's department, a fact that he laments on occasion. Still, he's confident that he will find some fun people one day.

Diego takes life slow, never really in a hurry to do much, and is perfectly happy about that. He takes things easy and views the world through a positive light, even when things get rough. of course, there is still much he doesn't know about the world, but he's always happy to learn new things. He also greatly dislikes conflict and doesn't know how to handle it too well.

Being a fruit, Diego's diet is much different than most animals. With sugar and water being very important to his health, Diego usually consumes large amounts of candy, soda, and other fruits. Of course, he also requires plentiful water and a little bit of sunlight. When each of these elements is in proper balance, his body stores the compounds in his fruity flesh. Of course, as more and more of these nutrients are stored, his body grows fatter. Another thing that differentiates Diego from animals is that unlike them, the fatter he gets, the healthier he is, and the better he feels. In fact, if he becomes too skinny, he will become worn out and tired. Aside from slower movement however, Diego suffers little complication from excess body mass. In fact, even if he becomes enormous, he still retains mobility. Because of his physiology, his body does not typically form fat rolls, and instead, simply expands further outward and becomes more spherical. Something else to note about Diego's body is that he is actually capable of altering the consistency of it. he can either make his rind soft and squishy, rendering his spikes harmless, or he can turn himself into a ball of vicious spiky armor. he can even adjust the position of his stem.

All these nutrients effect more than just his girth however. Being a durian, Diego naturally reeks! Just like his girth is effected by his health, so is his stench. Though Diego stinks, even with his normal size, his stench grows exponentially the healthier he becomes. Not only does he possess incredible body odor, but his body also produces gas that when either burped or farted out, smells even more potent. Diego's stink also comes with a bit of fruity sweetness to it as well as overwhelming stench. depending on what's more prominent to a person's senses, they either like it, or would rather be nowhere near him, especially when he needs to vent some of that gas. Diego of course has no problem with his stink. On the contrary, thanks to the fact that it's potency reflects how healthy he is, he's actually rather proud of it. In fact, he's so proud of it, that he actually wants people to smell him so he can show off how healthy he is and how well he's doing for himself. Even if they don't like it, their reactions tell him what he wants to hear, as the more severe the reaction, the smellier it is, then the healthier he is.
