After the tragedy that was the last season of GoT I couldn't help myself from offering some measure of comfort comfort to the last two surviving dragons. As a wyvern himself, Safik seems to have found an effective way to slither under the scales of these mighty dragons who quickly accepted him into their winged embrace.
I'm not counting Rhaegal's death as being canon, just like many of the decisions taken by the writers this season. There we so, so, SO many things that made no sense. I mean, if in the last episode the Dothraki horde seems well and fine while in The Long Night we saw the vast majority of their force decimated, who is to say Rhaegal can't somehow get resurrected too? xP

Oh, I like that idea. Partly because a piece of me died when I have to watch Rhaegal being shot down in the most needlessly gory way possible, and then practically all the characters forget about him in the next few scenes. And in the books, Viserion was one of the most affectionate of the three dragons, so turning him into an ice zombie was a real emotional gut punch. Or at least could have been if his sacrifice made any sense whatsoever but that entire episode was a confusing mess.
Or take Drogon for example. He is one of the characters that lost the most. He lost his brothers. He lost his mother. All that's left for him to live out his days alone, in the deserted outskirts of a world that hates him. And this could have meant more to us viewers if the scene where we last see him makes any sense, but it's never explained why he'd spare Jon, or why he'd burn down the iron throne, or how he would even know what the iron throne is, and then he just leaves never to be seen or mentioned again.
And the worst part is that I'm not necessarily against tragedy belling the dragons in the show simply because I like dragons. It feels like there's an opportunity here to deliver a really potent message about we deploy animals in warfare, for example. But this opportunity was fumbled by a nonsensical script and even worse execution.
Sorry. I get a little longwinded when I get started on GoT!
