Capri used to have a different backstory, but I thought up a more relatable and personal one.

Her name is Bleu, single mom. Being a parent kept her too busy to continue her education, and her crummy restaurant job pays pretty terribly, but she considers herself lucky to have such a helpful, positive melon-headed little kid.

That last image of Capri eating spaghetti while his mom watches strikes very close to home for me. My sister and I were raised by our mother, she didn't have a complete education, and worked lousy-paying waitress jobs, constantly struggling to make ends meet. I remember she would quite frequently skip supper while us kids ate. We never really knew why, but whenever we asked, she would just say she wasn't hungry. I know better now. :(

I personally know what it feels like. my mother raised my brother and me after the death of our father and I know the sacrifices that a mother makes for educating and feeding her children. I hope you have a happy ending
