Here's the Rebel.

Hello there,  my fellow watchers!

I'm finally here from the few months of hiatus full of many, many things happened and still happening in my life.

During the absence, if comes to uploading my art works in this site, I tested many art - related apps, for example full version of Autodesk Sketchbook, ibisPaint, FlipAClip, EasyPoser, Pixlr, PicsArt Color, etc. and I picked up the best ones to use on my tablets and develop my digital art skills.

I was also watching many art - related videos on YouTube for practical tips on what and how to draw something the way it looks believable and looks at least nice, if not great.

As you can see, I tried to exercise shadowing and lighting in the example of bare chested Mad Dog from Talespin without his trademark Arabic - like cap and goggles. And I still wonder if I need to add the highlights in this pic or should I leave this picture the way it is right now. I also experimented with the Glow brushes, but I thought it was pointless and use them next time.

Also, the Multiply option came in handy. ;)

And, if you're watching me for a long time, you'd notice something familiar, that means the sketch, in which I drew Mad Dog's head, was used in this picture as the start point for creating something different. The mentioned sketch is here: https://www.deviantart.com/oratherebelkitsune/art/Blue-... So, I can say past pictures come sometimes in handy and can be utilized for the following projects.

And this was the first time I hadn't the sketch made earlier in my Creadu sketchbook as the base of work and I had to draw the rest of whiny Air Pirate's body on my own! I was scared of messed - up pic when I was doing it, but, in the end, it looks decent for me. I think the new stylus and pen in once gadget gave me the needed stability to operate here. :D

I guess the next attempts of lights and shadows study will be frutitious as this pic, especially if comes to the circumstances I mentioned in the beginning of description.

Mad Dog and Talespin belong to Disney.
The picture was created in Adobe Sketchbook by JapVixen.
