EDIT: yay, I figured out what I did wrong! ... makes me feel dumb, lol.

~

Words cannot describe my level of frustration right now.

SO, I've been playign Dreams lately, and it is a serious motivation and inspiration... but when I sit and actually play the game, I'm usually at a complete loss for what to do, as everything is super awkward and requires some getting used to... because for some reason, motion controls -- literally, I do not want motion controls; I want my brain plugged directly into the software so that I don't have to use awkward controls or programming knowledge to translate where I want the thing to put the thing.

That said, I've made one or two cool things while practicing with the controls, and Dreams is super duper awesome, I love it! Can't get enough...

Which is why I made this on my computer... again. Drawing his face awkwardly with a mouse... again... because my tablet is a whole separate PC that lacks a keyboard, and Blender requires ALL THE BUTTONS... so... yes.

This is because I had to move my PS4 into my room, beside my computer, in order to play Dreams for HOURS while painting the Slurm logo on the front of a vending machine I "sculpted"... using motion controls and the Dualshock controller... while not hogging the damn TV. AND THEN my brother wanted to watch Netflix... which is on my PS4... so I had to move that back into the lounge room... we watched the Ridiculous 6, and all I could think about was wanting to go back and watch A Million Ways To Die In The West... I think you know what I mean...

ANYWAY!

I came back to my PC and made this. Again. Because it was kind of heart breaking when I discovered the day after painting the first one that it didn't save the texture I had painted... and I have no idea how Blender works. It's been so long since I really used it... but at least this time I managed to save out the texture... but I can't figure out how to apply it to the mesh, so... RIP.

It's funny, actually, because I was trying to remember how to make a skeleton for the character, so I could make some animations, all because it's just so easy to drop in a puppet already set up in Dreams... making it look cool is another matter entirely... and Dreams just keeps filling me with energy and excitement about what I could make with it...! Or rather, with anything, really... if I didn't end up feeling so completely useless when I sit down to fumble with the awkward controls -- EVERYTHING IS AWKWARD AND STOOPID! I don't know how anyone does it -- until something is pooped out that doesn't look like absolute garbage. Assuming I can even find the time, between work and other annoying distractions... like that brother of mine that has been hanging around for a couple of weeks now, and can't seem to find a place, probably due to a bad track record... words cannot describe my frustration...I swear I can just feel my shoulders knotting together by his very presence. It's like there's an electromagnetic field disrupting my brainwaves. I hate it.

Also today I had to go to the dentist, too. SO... that's always fun... totally not a soul-crushing experience at all that I could have really, REALLY used Dreams to chill out... nope... sad face. =(

... having your kitty cat curl up in the crook of you arm while the dog sprawls across your legs, though, is super just... just... super. =3
