"OKAY!" Tails clapped his hands together, "Prepare yourself. You've impressed your master. Now it's time to come at me."
Cobalt was sweating. There was a bit of a lump in his throat. He swallowed and stood with his hands by his sides. "Y-Yes. Okay Master! I-I'll do my absolute best!"
Tails smiled. Cobalt certainly had a lot of respect for him. Still, as his teacher, he had to keep him in check. It was important to impart on him that there's always more for him to learn.
The other kids stood back and kept their eyes trained on the situation. Collectively, they were interested in the outcome of the fight... however, they were more wondering if they should inform their master...
"Ready... BEGIN!" Tails charged forward.
"EEP!" Cobalt closed his eyes and held his fists up.
Tails laughed but then yelped when he tripped over his pants and fell forward, bashing his chin against Cobalt's fist! Tails' eyes crossed and stars exploded into his field of vision!
The kids all winced. Yeah. They should have informed their master that his pants were still around his ankles.
Tails gripped his mouth and stumbled out of his pants, eyes crossing and un-crossing as the pain shot through him. "Augh...th-that doesn't count!"
Cobalt opened his eyes. He felt something soft hit his fist. Perhaps his master just struck his fist in a soft manner so as to go easy on him? Oh man. How kind of him! His master was a great guy. He had to give it his all in order to pay back this kindness and not dishonor him!
"HI-YAH!" Cobalt suddenly found his confidence and shot forward, bashing a kick in Tails' gut!
Tails' eyes widened as spit and snot flew from his face. His stomach was sunk inward and he was sent spiraling back and bouncing along the floor! The top of his gi, undid itself, revealing his bare chest. The other kids found it so odd just how... half-naked their master was right before them. Even stranger was how loopy he looked right now.
"H-Hey.. w-wait a sec... w-who said you could th-throw bricks at meeee?" Tails said with his eyes rolling. Cobalt didn't hear Tails inadvertently compliment him in his dizzy daze by comparing his foot to a brick. Cobalt shot up and slammed a double hammer fist down onto Tails' head!
The fox's eyes bugged out and it looked as though he had a bit of a comedic gap in his teeth now.
"I-I-Is it mustard day at the deli...?" Tails slurred and wobbled about, feeling really giddy and happy despite how much pain he was in. He felt so light-headed and weird. He was a little toddler at the deli, waiting for his big brother Sonic to give him some food. Hurray~!
As he daydreamed this, Cobalt went crazy on his master with a flurry of punches and kicks that made the fox double back. His socks even shredded a bit on each foot due to the friction. Tails was already pretty much unconscious and ready to fall but he kept getting hit so his noodly body kept flopping about.
It wasn't until Cobalt landed his last downward punch did he realize the blank, swirly-eyed expression on his master's face and stopped. Tails let out a gurgle as a huge cartoonish lump appeared on his head and he fell on his butt, legs splayed back as he watched a galaxy of stars dance around his head.
The kids standing in awe couldn't help but giggle at the way he looked. There was no getting around it this time. Cobalt had demolished him!
The only one who wasn't laughing was Cobalt himself. He looked down at Tails and gulped while pressing his fingers together.
"Uhm... m-master...?" Cobalt tried to, hopefully, get a response.
Tails was too far gone. His big brother was letting him order his own food.
"One knuckle sandwich please~! Uh duuuurrrr~!"
