My entry for FurAffinity's Pride Month contest.

"Panromantic demi-vulvasexual" is quite a mouthful, but trying to define something as complex as human sexuality in just a few words couldn't be anything but messy. And that is fine, your complexities make you who you are, own them and be proud of them.

Vulva-sexual?

Is that the new "politically correct" term for straight or lesbian?

*chuckles*

No, no, not at all. "Straight" and "lesbian" are perfectly valid terms, but they are very ambiguous regarding gender and sex. A straight person might be someone who feels attracted to all women regardless of genitals, to all people with female genitals regardless of gender, or to only cisgender women. "Vulvasexual" is just one specific kind of "straight".

Sexual orientation and gender preference are two different things.

If you have a penis and like vaginas, you are straight, no matter if they are masculine or feminine. What other little things you like or don't like, aren't part of the biological sexual preference. Those are just fetishes and preferences outside of biological sexual orientation.

To have a flag for literally every little preference and fetish, is getting a bit silly. ^_^

It is silly, but people keep getting called transphobic when their preferences refer to genitals instead of gender, so what else can we do?
Kolossal

Yes that bugs me to. I don't want to be labeled transphobic for my genital preferences

Seems to be happening to a lot of people lately, both straight and gay. So, since everyone's making up new words nowadays, why not using that to our advantage?

It's especially annoying given that the terms "heterosexual" and "homosexual" clearly specify that they relate to 'sex' as opposed to 'gender', so even in sjw-speak it clearly refers to whether your parts fit together.

It's especially annoying to me because I'm aromantic. And so heteroromantic and homoromantic, which people are coopting heterosexual and homosexual to mean, don't apply to me and I'm left without any way to describe myself.

Yep, turns out you can actually snuggle with people you don't want to have sex with! And also I don't mind sharing my feet with my friends.

Not gonna lie Doc. I like this flag, better then the others. It pretty much encompasses everything and everyone. Which is WHAT a movement is supposed to be. A means to better life. Not steam roll over those who are different

I do feel much better now that I have a specific identity to define me.
