A great fire beast of a forgotten time. It once lived in a deep, fiery cavern with others of it's kind. But as dragons began to die out the warlock known as Bovidae the 13th came to the nest and after testing the strength of the remaining specimens sealed one inside a magic stone and bound it to his service with the name Stratul. Many centuries later the warlock took on the name Raul and continues to collect magical objects and creatures that interest him. Raul can summon Stratul simply by using the spell infused into the marking on his right middle finger.
The Flamecore is the greatest of the Fire element Dragons, spewing a combustible liquid rather than flames. While this method of attack greatly increases the distance it's flames can travel the spread is considerably reduced, making it easier to avoid a direct hit at long range. However this can still prevent an attack from getting too close as the streams direction can be changed and the sheer distance it can hit a target. Flamecore's generally live in close proximity to volcanoes but have been know to nest inside inactive volcanoes or in other warm areas. They are particularly rare as they only breed once every hundred years often only producing a single egg. For many years their nests were raided for eggs which were eaten as a delicacy in many foreign markets. Eventually this fell out of fashion but the damage to the species had already been done and it has not been able to recover.
