I really need to get better on my reflection, shine, and shading on rubber and shiny objects, so I've done a few quick pieces practicing that.
The first is a simple, black, rubber ball. It's easy to work with lighting and shading on a sphere, and gives a good starting ground.
The second is a slightly more complicated ball. A beach ball. I added a beach reflection on this one and threw a face on it for some fun post transformation shenanigans. Most likely my mouse having turned into the beach ball. The poor thing ~
The third image is my mouse in a latex hood, or turned into a latex creature. More curves and surfaces make this image harder to work with, and a good step up difficulty with practice.
