I'd say I've improved considerably in the last 11 years :3c.
The old one took 5 days of constant work and hundreds of layers and paths. This one? 4.5 hours. I used to give myself shit over how slow I was... Well how do you like THEM apples, me!?
Still... could be better. We'll see how I do in 5 years time :3 (if I remember)
The moral of the story is DON'T STOP DRAWING! Do you hate your art? Keep at it! You WILL get better! This is proof of that!
