"Some days, you can never really predict WHAT can happen. Sometimes, this turns out bad. REALLY bad, like the times you try mixing a formula and have it explode in your face! But then you have times that are the opposite, where they can almost be considered miracles. While I was busy dealing with my would be killers, Vixy was hard at work in the library, trying out the spells she had learned from our latest lessons. Sissy had nothing better to do, and was happy to be a guinea pig as needed for my apprentice's experiments.
Now, I'm going to be ABSOLUTELY fair to Vixy, here; she has grown in her knowledge of spells since she first became my student, and has always been free to come and go according to her whims. Heck, she's even been able to preform some of her first rituals, and get them right on the first try! I suppose what I mean to say is she's mastered Evocation, improved greatly in her studies of Conjuration, and made wonderful strides in Divination; she has a long way to go before I can safely say she has a beginner's grasp of Transmutation.
All it took was her to make a few mistakes, and suddenly my kitten librarian and sissy Agumon found themselves as Chocobos, just like their Mistress. Naturally, Poppy was drawn to the sounds of powerful magic going wrong; but once the magical smoke cleared, her eyes lit up with a fresh idea that, I admit, she was right in assuming I'd like it. Now, there is something special I gave to Poppy when I gave her her vast, godly powers of hypnotism. When I found her in that stable, so very long ago, passed over and ignored in favor of Chocobos that had grown to desired heights and strengths, I felt pity for her bitterness.
So I gave her the power that if she were to use her hypnotism on a Chocobo, she could completely dominate it's mind like they were an extension of herself. Granted, she had something more pleasant in mind for the new Chocobos. Poppy did see everyone in her staff as family, and I greater than that bond. But she had a rare chance to have a far deeper bond with two of her favorites. With a gentle hand, she dove into Vixy and Sissy's eager and open minds, and made just a few twists here and there to who they are.
She made them her younger sisters, having hatched from the same clutch as she had, making Vixy her younger sister and Sissy her youngest. The three were as close as any family could be, and it was easy enough for Poppy to link that family bond to their unified love and worship of me. When she was done, she gave Vixy a stern talking for trying magics she hadn't mastered without me and the Sissy for not stopping her big sister. They both promised to do better, before the three hugged, as they always had, before Poppy returned to work, even more cheerful than before."
