By the way... Is Iblis and Solaris the same thing ? I always think that Soleanna kept the Flames of Disaster considering it was Solaris when it was in fact the demonic Iblis... What if they've been fooled ? And Solaris, the real one, only appears at the end of the game to "force" Elise and Sonic to "destroy" Iblis... And Mephiles ?! Is that just something created by humans to seal Solaris and that they lost control ??

i believe when i played the game that Mephiles was the shadow of the flame, both sealed in two different things cause if they became one it would be mass destruction. Iblis is that destruction and idk about the Solaris that always was weird to me. when they both combined as the final boss it made no sense still doesnt to me lol

I think I'm predicting the plot here, Sonic tries to put out the flames but this happens, they fuck and impreg but then through one way or another the fire goes out and everything restarts back to normal BUT WAIT there's a twist in the end where not everything has been reset if you catch my drift ;P

I always saw it as the classic, One super powerful entity split in two, I see these as Brawl and Brain given how Iblis is a never ending sorce of huge destrution and Mephiles has a body of his own (Granted, he stole it, but let's look over that) also has the ability to talk and come with a scheme to kill Sonic while his other-self/brother just goes in a destructive rampage without cause or motivation

It's a shame Sonic '06 wrote itself out of canon with the "blow out the evil time god" ending, as crippled as the gameplay was I liked the story presented. Though Solaris probably quietly endures, since Crisis City was a level in Sonic Generations and the time eater had similar powers.

If I had to guess, I'd say they separated Mephiles from Iblis because they were only looking for a power source. And I imagine power sources get significantly less reliable when they can think for themselves.
