Elite and full of holes! Hah! Well...I did it for good reason. Those two holes in the front were made because I couldn't get the elitebook to stay closed. So I tried to screw some really thin wood into the bottom pieces there to hold the laptop closed in tablet mode. This..."sorta" worked but then it was a hassle to put it back in laptop mode....which I had to do A LOT of times due to trouble with litemanager (a remote veiwing/control program).  Eventually I ripped the wood off, pulled out the nails and screws and was able to get it closed with a little sheet of paper between the screen and base to keep it from clattering.

Why did you buy another tablet pc Whippy!!?
This actually a stand I made some months ago for the tc4400, but that laptop only can take 4gb RAM max and that got old fast. The HP Elitebook can take 16gb. Plus I only paid $55 for it :D  Since HP didn't change the width of the laptop at all, it fits on the old stand just fine with a lil room up top. With 16gb, I should be able to do all my work ^^

Why the holes in the back?
I started using a wired internet connection to get better frame rates and connections, but having a power cable and a LAN cable flopping all over my desk was a real pain. So I just cut two holes to route the cables through and keep them in place. It helps neaten things up a lot. A little later I made the holes bigger for the keyboard wire and just looped it through a few times to take up the slack. It's not perfect but eh it works :P

Where's that fancy RGB keypad you used last time?
That....went kaput -_- The CRTL, ALT, and Space keys started to stick. At first I was sure it was litemanager or maybe the 90 degree USB adapter, but no. It was the keypad itself. I love how cheap it is, but you get what you pay for *sad violin* :/  I was gonna code a lil thing to use a USB numpad for hotkeys....then I remembered I had a spare keyboard and felt silly going to all that trouble ^^;  It's clunky but it just works™

Who's that otter? He's cute!
Heck yes he is :D He's from Redwall the cartoon series, 2nd season with Mattimeo. I don't remember his name atm...grrr! Haven't watched the series in a few years...I seriously need to rewatch it soon!

How do you turn the laptop on!? Where's the power button? What is this voodoo?
The power button is covered up by the left chunk of wood on the base there unfortunately. One way to turn it on is to lift it up and slide the power button - but that's clunky and caveman like! I enabled Wake On LAN and use Litemanager to turn it on over my LAN.  Another way to turn it on is to just hit a key on the keyboard :P But I didn't always have it connected.

What's Litemanager? Why's that so important?
Litemanager is a remote viewing and remote control software that installs on one computer as a 'viewer' and another as a 'server'. The viewer controls the server. So with it I can copy and paste files into and out of my laptop. I can even paste files right into paint tool SAI. On my desktop, I use the viewer to display my laptop's screen and OBS stream it. It's also totally free for personal use. I lurve it ^^

It's definitely one of those cartoons I could watch over and over and never get tired of it.

Yes! It's got a realism to it that other cartoons just never venture into. The characters are that much more alive because of it.  And also cute ;)
