I personally find Sonic very cute with his big eyes. The body proportion is something I'd need some time to get used to. And I really like his voice, Ben Schwartz fits him very nice <3

Having now watched the trailer, I can say that while the model itself is not actually that off-putting, the animation is not up to snuff, especially when synching to his speech. Reminds me more of late 90s CGI shows than it really should, given it's been over 15 years since Gollum in LoTR.
