Chapter 6
Meanwhile Sonic, Chip, Tails and the carpet arrived into the oasis.
"How about that, Mr. Doubting Mustafa?" Tails asked proudly.
"Yeah. That was great! You sure showed me!" Sonic replied smugly. "So, what about my three wishes?"
"Hold your horses, Sonic! You already used one wish!" said Tails with a smirk.
"Actually, I never actually wished to get out of the cave. You did that on your own." Sonic smirked.
Before Tails could say anything, he realised Sonic tricked him.
"Boy, I feel very sheepish!" said Tails as he turned himself into a sheep. "No more freebies, is that clear?"
"Crystal clear." said Sonic as he tried to come up his first wish. But then he was curious about what Tails was wishing for. "Tails, what are you wishing for?"
"Me? No one’s ever asked me that before. Well, I would like to.. Nah, forget it! I can't" said Tails looking down.
"Come on, Tails. Tell me." said Sonic.
"Freedom." Tails sighed.
"You mean that you're a prisoner of the lamp?" the blue hedgehog asked.
"Yes." he replied. "The only way to get me out of this is if that my master wishes me out."
"I'll do it! I'll set you free." said Sonic with a soft smile.
"Really?" asked Tails feeling quite unsure.
"Yeah. After make my first two wishes, I’ll use my third wish to set you free." Sonic replied as they shook hands.
"Well, here’s hoping." Tails smiled. "So, what is it you want most?"
"Well, there's this girl.." Sonic replied with a blush.
"Sonic, I told you I can't make anyone fall in love!" said Tails.
"But, Tails. She's sweet and fun. But she's a princess." Sonic sighed. "To even have a chance, I’d have to be…"
Then, Sonic had an idea and knew what he was wishing for.
"Hey! I have an idea. Tails, I wish you'll make me a prince!" said Sonic.
"Your wish is my command!" said Tails as he granted Sonic's first wish and turned Sonic's ragged clothes into a fancy prince outfit.
"Wow! This is perfect, Tails!" he smiled at his new outfit.
"Yeah. But there is something missing... Ah! Mode of transportation!" said Tails and then he looked at Chip.
"Oh no! Not me!" Chip shook his head.
But Tails transformed him into an elephant. Chip looked into his reflection at the water. He was terrified.
"AAAAHHH!!! I look like a freak!" Chip screamed.
"Don't be silly, Chip! You look good." Sonic smirked as Chip glared.
"But we're not through yet because we're gonna make you a star!" said Tails as he was getting ready for another magic.
Meanwhile in the palace throne room, Wakim arrived to tell Robert about the solution to Amy's problem.
"Your majesty! I found a solution to the problem with your daugher!" said Wakim as he carried a scroll.
"Really?" Robert asked.
"Yes." Wakim replied as he started to read the scroll." "If the princess has not chosen a husband by the appointed time, then the sultan shall choose for her." "
"But Amy rejected all of her suitors!" Robert sighed and frowned. "How could I choose someone she hates?"
"That's not all, your majesty!" said Wakim as he continued to read. "There's more! "in the event a suitable prince cannot be found, a princess must then be wed to the royal vizier." "
Wakim stopped and grinned. "Why, that would be me!"
Robert was very confused.
"I don't get it! I thought the law says that only a prince can marry a princess. And besides, you're so old." said Robert.
"Desperate times call for desperate measures, your highness!" said Wakim as he used his staff to hypnotize Robert. "You will order the princess to marry me!"
"I.. will order.. the princess... to..." Robert repeated being hypnotized.
Suddenly the hypnosis was interrupted by music outside the palace. Robert looked through the window and he saw parade in Rosagbah with cameos, peacocks, dancers and Sonic riding on Chip.
"Make way for Prince Nickie!" Tails cried as the people stepped aside and watched amazedly at the parade."
"Wakim, you must come and see this!" Robert smiled as he watched the parade while Wakim glared at it.
Amy went to her balcony and saw Sonic disguised as a prince. But she wasn't amused.
"Oh no! Not another suitor!" Amy sighed annoyedly.
Once the parade came inside the palace. Sonic hopped onto the carpet and flew towards Robert and bowed to him.
"Splendid! Absolutely marvellous!" smiled Robert.
"Your majesty! My name is Prince Nickie! And I have journeyed from afar to seek your daughter’s hand." said Sonic as he proudly introduced himself.
"It is an honour to meet you, Prince Nickie!" Robert smiled as he shook Sonic's hand.
"Indeed." Wakim said sarcastically.
Then, Robert noticed the carpet and was very amazed.
"Wow! What a cool carpet? Mind if I try it?" he asked.
"Why, of course, your majesty! Allow me!" Sonic replied and helped Robert to sit on the carpet.
"Your majesty, I must advise against this!" said Wakim.
"Don't be such a party pooper, Wakim! Learn to have a little fun!" said Robert as he took a carpet ride around the throne room.
Robert was very excited and enjoyed the ride while the carpet flew faster and then they finally landed.
"My, that was amazing!" the red hedgehog sultan smiled. "You are an impressive young man, Prince Nickie!"
"Why, thank you, your majesty!" Sonic smiled.
"And I'm very sure Amy'll like you!" Robert said with enthusiasim.
"Your highness, this boy no different from the others! And what makes him think he's worthy of the princess?" said Wakim as he glared at Sonic.
Amy walked to the throne room and heard the whole thing. And she was very crossed.
"How dare you?" Amy scolded as everyone stared at Amy who was very angry. "All of you! Standing around deciding my future? I'm not a prize to be won!"
Amy stormed away angrier than ever.
"Oh dear! Don't worry, Prince Nickie! Just let Amy cool down!" said Robert as he placed his hand on Sonic's shoulder.
Wakim was so determinded and wanted to get rid of Sonic once and for all in order to marry Amy.
"I think it’s time to say good bye to this punk!" Wakim thought to himself angrily.
