With his clothes on and a particularly powerful pep in his step, Donovan made his merry way on over to the Wrestle-Boxing Center. It had been closed for repairs after somebody pile-drived someone else through the mat so hard that it broke the ring. Also, somehow, a table caught fire. It was weird.
What is Wrestle-Boxing though? It's just what it sounds like. It's a combination of Boxing and Wrestling. You're given boxing gloves and you're allowed to fight with them but full-on wrestling moves are allowed as well. Everyone is provided with shorts by the establishment and if you become known as a jobber in the area, what you wear is downgraded. So if you see anyone in a speedo, you know they probably lost quite a bit.
Donovan was a pretty frequent fighter there though. He had a good record. He was excited today, especially. With the place shut down, he had very little avenue to vent his frustrations concerning his current job. It was back though! When he entered, he could tell that the place had been touched up rather well. It even smelled like lavender.
"Excuse me, my good man. Sign me up for the best matches in Block A my man. Please put me in the Guppy circuit!" Donovan said, eyes sparkling as he pointed to himself. "I've got a few matches to win!"
Now, if you're thinking Donovan was placing himself in a round of fights called the "Guppy Circuit" to avoid fighting in a circuit with super strong people... than you'd be correct.
"Sure thing kid. I'm sure you'll have loads of fun over there." The blue guy at the counter said with a smirk on his face. Odd. He'd never seen him before. He wondered who this could be.
Oh well. It didn't matter. The locker room awaits.
