Nascent- The Nascent are a semi-corporal being made of living shadows and nightmares. These beings spawn into the world from the most traumatic of nightmares, recurring again and again until they take sapient form. This individual rarely survived, as the Nascent tends to destroy the source of its abhorrent existence. They seek to devour weaker nightmares, driving their prey to horror and madness so that they may feed. Prey that falls into insomnia and madness is often devoured, shredded with its shape shifting antlers so that the Nascent may feast upon the horror of inevitable demise. The Nascent’s body is all but invulnerable to most forms of damage except its eyes. It cannot close or hide its eyes unlike the rest of its body, present and visible in any shape it takes. Its malleable antlers are capable of carving through most mundane materials, which along with its ability to manipulate shadows into tendrils make them a significant threat to the unprepared. The shadow magic of the Nascent is imparted unto its marked, blessing their partner with the ability to form shields and tentacles for there use along with minor shapeshifting capability.
