Poly tries her best to put up with her brother's fascination with history, but it's difficult. She can't really see what was exciting about watching a bunch of cars make left turns for a while. Maybe if there had been powerups? That might have been cool.
It's a bit shame that people can mix up things like NASCAR and Rally together, considering that Audi S1 Quattro is pretty much the most known Rally car from the 80's Group-B era and Rallying has nothing to do with NASCAR. It's like comparing day and night.

I mean, maybe if there was power-ups and explosions and stuff Poly might get into it. Maybe they could use the car in some kind of rocket-league like thing! But historic aircraft sound a bit more interesting. Probably again, Poly would be more interested if they were used in dogfights! The 'real' modern space combat is typically really boring, which is why most areas with space combat have certain restrictions on such! It's not as fun if something ends after the first volley.

Racing is soooooo boring, and I imagine it's even worse when you live in a universe where you can go and fight giant golems or visit planets full of weird crystals that give you magic powers. But it's still very sweet of her to indulge her brother's hobbies and to try her best to listen. Hobbies are so much more fun when they're shared, and I love how happy he looks while gushing about the car. And isn't it better than being in school with all those grabby janitors?

She really does try her best to listen, though! He indulges her in her adventures sometimes, and she likes to make him happy. He does really look so happy as he's going on about it, so she listens to him gush. As for better than being in school with all of those janitors... maybe! After a few hours of listening to this, she's almost tempted to get into trouble for a distraction.
