I just mentioned a science project I did back in high school years ago, paper mache volvano activated by mentos and pop, it was pretty sweet actually. oh and yes, typically when you have a mushroom cloud, the words KABOOM and a leveling layer of debris going in a circle from teh center that's an explosion as depicted in about 95% of the comics I've read in the last 30 plus years.
