Starting the wave of concept art from my unfinished Dead Earth comic from 2004. This is Dimitri Francis, one of two dragon guardians of Gaia. On his back is his Zweihander sword. This was the first time I ever drew a dragon from above like this and I'd say it turned out rather well. Again, was part of an animation, hence no background.
