Tale as old as Time chapter 4
The next morning in the castle. Shadow still blushed when he he thought about Sonic.
"I never felt this way to anyone before! I want to do something for him." Shadow thought to himself. Then he remembered that Vanilla told him about that Sonic loved to read books.
Shadow walked towards the guestroom door and knocked it gently.
"Who is it?" asked Sonic.
"It's me, Shadow! I have something to tell you." replied Shadow.
"Come in!" said Sonic.
Shadow came inside the room and sat on the bed next to Sonic.
"Sonic, I'm sorry about what happened yesterday. And I'm sorry for being mean to you and your uncle." said Shadow feeling sad and guilty.
"Apology accepted, Shadow. And I'm sorry for going to the West Wing without your permission." said Sonic as he placed his hand on Shadow's shoulder.
"It's alright, Sonic. I was worried about something happens to the enchanted blue rose." said Shadow.
"I understand, Shadow." said Sonic.
"By the way, thanks for nursing my wounds." smiled Shadow with a blush.
"You're welcome." blushed Sonic.
"I have a surprise for you!" smiled Shadow.
"How exciting!" said Sonic excitedly.
"Come on. I'll show you." said Shadow.
They went into a library full of books. Sonic's eyes sparkled and almost thought he was dreaming.
"Wow! This is amazing!" said Sonic.
"You like it?" asked Shadow.
"I love it!" replied Sonic happily.
"Then it's yours!" smiled Shadow.
"Thank you so much!" Sonic hugged Shadow.
The servants watched Sonic and Shadow in delight. They couldn't believe their eyes. Sonic and Shadow became friends. They had a wonderful time. They were eating breakfast together, feeding the birds in the garden, playing snowball fight, reading a book by the fire. Few days later, Shadow and Sonic were getting ready for the ball dance tonight. Shadow was taking a bath while Sonic was in his guestroom and tried to find a fancy outfit for the dance.
"Get inside me, Sonic." said Melissa.
"Okay." said Sonic confusedly and got inside her.
"Buckle up. It's going to be a real spin!" said Melissa and started to spin around until she stopped and opened her wardrobe door and out came Sonic with a beautiful white dress with blue ribbons and red roses on. He looked into Monica's mirror and thought it was kinda silly to wear a dress but he politely thanked the girls anyway.
After Sonic and Shadow got ready, they blushed at each other and started to dance at the ball in a romantic way while the servants were watching and playing a beautiful music and Vanilla sang a song called "Tale as old as Time".
