Recently, I was approached by GameGod210 for a collab. Together we came up with a tale of crime, intrigue, betrayal and of course, cute dames in distress.
A nose for trouble, that’s what any good reporter needs and Faye certainly had what it took to go from photographer to fulltime journalist in such a short time. Having had the hot scoop on the Jade Jaguar Jewellery Heist and Councilwoman Swinton’s illegally diverting city funding to her own bank account certainly did wonders for her career. True, the ferret had landed smack dab in the middle of all that trouble more times than she could count, but that was a detail she preferred to leave out of her resume.
In any case, after talking with a friend in the police force, the mustelid snoop had recently come onto the trail of a heroin smuggling ring and she was going to blow this dirty operation wide open. At first, she suspected the Fangs Of Midas to be behind it, but a little digging revealed the mastermind was instead a manager at the Azure City mail distribution centre, using the vans to smuggle his valuable goods across town. Just the sneaking around archives and computers, eavesdropping and stealthily shooting pictures of the transactions of tonight alone had resulted in quite the sizable file of evidence. All she had to do now was make a quiet exit through the nearby alleyway.
Naturally, that’s when everything went to hell in a handbasket. An absolutely gargantuan, muscular lion appeared from seemingly out of nowhere and scooped up the ferret like she was just a tiny doll. A fittingly massive paw clamped over Faye’s muzzle to silence her cry of surprise, but to her horror the assailant also pressed a sweet-smelling rag against her face and the drug began to took effect almost immediately. “Awww, don’t squirm so much, love. There’s a troublemaker sneaking around these parts and they hired me to get rid of her. You wouldn’t know anything about that, would you? Heheheh…” A gruff, smug voice chuckled from behind the helpless ferret as she slowly lost consciousness. “Don’t worry, sweetheart, I’ll deal with you when you wake up…”
