n this setting there is a marked distinction between Gremlins and Goblins. Goblins are feral green skinned savages similar to D&D’s classic depiction. Gremlins are the pale skinned predecessors of Goblins who fall more in line with the pop culture version of Goblins popularized by Blizzard’s Warcraft series. Though major differences in society are present.
lada is the bodyguard & servant of Technocrat Lanzix. Like most Gremlins, her skin is stained with black dust where it would otherwise by stark white. She is crass and vicious, her killing skills not originating from military training. She is uneducated but don’t let that smirk fool you, she is also just plain stupid, cowardly, and prone to vices. Yet knowing when to run has come in handy more than once and preferring to stab people in the back is great when most adversaries are twice your height.
Gremlins are not fond of sunlight, so on the surface they are prone to wearing tinted goggles and sunglasses. The device on her wrist is of Lanzix’s own handi-work. A personal Mana-Jammer. Beyond acting as a communicator it can also hold spells like float, Invisibility, sneak, and deodorize. But perhaps most handy is its Mana-Jamming feature: creating a small field around her that destabilizes arcane magic and ruining a wizard’s day (for a couples seconds, hopefully all she needs).
Lanzix is on the other hand an upper class Technocrat and he is bound to remind you of that and the many qualifications that make him so. Geomancer, Technomancer and a reluctant minor in Astral Projection: though the life of a Gremlin technocrat family is one of relative luxury, it is not one of laziness. As such he is incredibly smart and motivated.
His staff is as a self-made contraption. While it can channel energy traditionally, he often uses it as a magical rifle. It can also be easily converted into a flying-broom-like device and as shown, act as an amplifier for signals. He also has a smaller wand, multi-function goggles, and little invention to help him write when wearing thick gloves.
Lally is a Leprechaun, which in this setting rests in the Halfling family of species known as Folk. Beyond from having fuzzy feet and odd colored eyes, the directional ears are dead give away you’re not just looking at a short human. While she much prefers to get everyone in on an impromptu musical dance number: with dagger, shillelagh, and bladed lute, she is well prepared to scrap. Indeed her lute’s particulate modification can have it act as a more accurate directional sonic weapon as times.
