Her parents had gone out for the night. Her older sister was staying with her boyfriend for the weekend. All Pepper had to deal with was her rambunctious little brother Juniper. And boy did the little scamp of a red panda love to interfere with Pepper’s plans for a comfy movie night by herself. “No, JuJu. You can’t have another cookie. JuJu, please turn that music down, we have neighbours! Juniper, stop stalling for time and just go brush your teeth, please!”
Well, turns out little Juniper had been watching a bit too many cartoons, had been rummaging in the garage the other day and had a trick up his sleeve. When Pepper came into his room to wish him goodnight, he pushed his sister onto a chair and quickly scampered behind it to tie her wrists with the ropes he had found in the garage, then securing her arms and legs in a worryingly professional manner. “JuJu! When I get out of this, you’re SO de-ahmmmmph! Mmmmgrrrr!!” But the sneaky little panda had also stolen one of his father’s big handkerchiefs and jammed it into his sister’s mouth, with a black paisley bandana wrapped over it to keep her quiet.
Left in the dark, Pepper could only grumble as she tugged the astonishingly well-tied knots of her bonds. The only comfort she had was that when her parents would come home to untie her, it would be quite clear who left the TV on and emptied out the cookie jar. But until then the red panda was left to squirm on her chair. Not to mention how long it was going to take before her dignity recovered from this.
