The dragon families have always been envied for the wealth and status. Hailing from far and mystical lands, they made fame and fortune with the trading of exotic goods or impressive scientific careers. Kyani was one such dragon, hieress to a big supplier in gemstones. And it's to no-one's surpise that the mysterious scaled beauty was a prime target for criminal organisations looking to make a little profit with kidnappings.
As such, the police was on red alert when The Fangs Of Midas claimed responsibilty for Kyani's sudden dissapearance and demanded 50 million dollars for her safe return. And they would've gotten away it too, if it weren't one little meddling ferret. Faye had connected the dots of this kidnapping with the rumours of supposed squatters having taken over an old mansion just out of town. In the dead of night, she set out in the hopes of revealing the location of the Fangs' latest base of operations to the police, save the dragon damsel, and get the first scoop for her newspaper too, if possible.
Her suspicions were almost immediately confirmed as she watched the "squatters" hidden in the bushes. Definitely no students, these guys, but all to familiar thugs in various shapes and sizes, decked out in dark clothes and gold jewelry. Quickly, Faye tried to text her contact at the police, Angelica, and have her send a team to investigate. Unfortunately, that's when a muscular ram (which she recognised as the same one her friend Lexxi dropped onto some time agao) appeared behind her and dragged her into the house. Their orders were clear: have the ferret tied up with the other hostage and find out how much ransom they could squeeze out of her.
Meanwhile, in the attic, two bound figures were helplessly suspended from the cieling. From underneath the thick cloths stuffed into and wound over her maw, Faye mumbled an apology to the dragon lady she had tried to rescue. Kyani tried to reply with reassuring words to her fellow captive, if they hadn't been stifled by the large rubber ball lodged between her jaws. There was still hope, Faye tried to convince herself. The text to the police might've gone through, and her phone had been lost in the bushes during the struggle. The ferret and the dragoness just had to hang on a little longer...
