Mowgli walked only through the jungle after separating from Bagheeera. Both have discussed the mission of taking him to the man's village, and what happened last night. Bagheera and Mowgli have always been good friends, but this time the argument has gone out of both hands, and has ended with Bagheera falling into the river and leaving Mowgli alone, fed up with the stubbornness of the child.
Mowgli now walks alone... still angry, not only with Bagheera, but with everyone... with everyone who wants to take him away from home. But with the passing of the minutes in solitude his anger has been quenched and now he feels depressed, just... without anyone to tell or to turn to.
-I'm not going to let this beat me, I know I can take care of myself. -Mowgli says as he walks and some leaves creak suspiciously near him. But Mowgli does not realize this, because he finds himself distracted by grabbing a stick he has picked up from the jungle floor.
-I will show Bagheera and everyone that I don't need anyone to take care of me. -Says Mowgli in a loud voice, without saying it to anyone in particular, only saying it to reinforce his self-esteem.
Suddenly Mowgli feels a small touch on one of his shoulders as he walks, as if someone had tapped him to get his attention. The boy turns and can't turn again... Colors. A lot of bright and striking colors that move forming wonderful patterns. Mowgli remembers these colors, they are the same as last night, he knows that there is something wrong with them... although right now he does not remember what. And anyway it's too late to look away.
Mowgli's jaw drops gently, his body relaxes and he is paralyzed in his current position. Something tells him he should run, but it's too easy to just stood there, looking at the beautiful colored rings that make him feel happy, happy, safe... Yes, really staying there was a good thing, looking at the colors was a good idea . Everything would be easier, everything will be simpler and more pleasant, more beautiful and more secure.
-Hello mancub... it's good to see you so soon. Huhuhuhu... "A voice follows the colors that now dominate everything Mowgli sees. Everything he want to see. The voice belongs to Kaa, the good snake that last night visited him and... and the other one who was with him last night... trying to remember was so complicated...
-Let your good and best friend have a good look at you -Kaa laughs again. He can't believe how lucky he was to have crossed paths with the mancub that just escaped him last night.
The corners of Mowgli's lips begin to rise to form a smile, those colors were so beautiful... and luckily Kaa had come closer to show them better. What a good friend Kaa was! A good friend who taught him such wonderful things as those beautiful colors.
*PING* Just moments later the body of Mowgli is firm and erect before his friend, and Mowgli's mind has given way completely to have so fresh the memory of the wonderful feeling that was felt to yield to those colors. Mowgli simply stood there, looking at the colors and waiting for his friend's words. He really was lucky, there was once again someone in his life he could trust. Trust absolutely.
-Oh, stupid mancub... I'm so glad you see things my way again. -Kaa laughs out loud, it's been incredibly easy to capture the boy again. In truth, that boy was nobody without his feline companion.
-I'm glad as well. -Answers Mowgli mechanically, with hardly any expression in his voice; quite the opposite that in his face, where the expression of the most absolute happiness is reflected.
-Well, manling... I think it would be a good idea to talk about what happened last night. After all, you owe me an apology for throwing me off the tree. -Says Kaa.
-Yes. I'm so sorry... -Mowgli says softly. Speaking is... very tired, it requires too much energy... But Kaa was right, he owed him an apology. He had been wrong, he had acted badly ... he had to accept the consequences of his actions.
-I'm sure you are very sorry manling, although you'll have to do more than just apologize to win forgiveness... jujujuju. Well, I think we should go somewhere else... "private". He walked after Kaa and let himself be carried away by happiness.
