I'm not into those weird foolscap houses by Rarity's boutique but the half-framed houses with thatched roofs are awesome. I sketched this out all and with projecting ridgepoles and a little tree growing out of the thatch.
The ones that look like tents? I always figured those were market stalls. Though Ponyville and old-time Canterlot definitely are both weirdly full of tents and pavilions.
