I've been thinking about posting a collection of my 'not quite finished but I still intend to art', because I probably will never finish any of these. Have only included non sexual art in this lot (may do another with the naughty stuff), and art where the sketch is clean enough to be understood by more than just me...
1. Transcendence This one was me trying to express the idea of extending your life beyond the limits of your biological body. Adding machinery to ones body to 'improve' it and live longer. Seem to draw a few images with this theme (especially when a new Fear Factory album comes out!), but never finish them.
With this image I was going to have roots coming out of the ground and growing through the Venkats tail. His body would be starting to decay and 'return to the earth'. On the top there would be a large machine hanging over top (you can kind of make it out in old lineart).
2. Bird Death This guy was the inspiration for 'A Story Never Told' trade, giving him a backstory. I did this sketch with the idea of a creature made of the bones of different birds that acted as a carrier of souls to the after world (a Death, or Reaper). There have been a few other versions of it, one with a scythe made out of bones. Those other versions aren't really complete enough to post.
3. Naughty Tentacles I love eldritch things, so much so that I barely ever finish anything with that theme (although I think it does come through a little bit in other art).
This piece is a nether dragon summoning some eldritch being from beneath the waves. I had this idea of it forming from the water, with a translucence appearance that you could see it physically being formed from the tip down.
4. Deamcatcher Early picture of Chani. Had this idea of young Venkat turning their tails into Deamcatchers with a very understandable Nether in the middle to catch the bad dreams. Not really much else to say about this one... I should finish it.
5. Cliff Dragon Trying to come up with a style of Western Dragon of my own for Monumendo. Had the wings continuing down the past the hind legs and start of the tail section. Had also intended this guy to become a character I could develop and use later with stories.
6. Howard Howard is a character I created with the intention of using in a story. I want to start a parallel story on the other continent of Monumendo within a large city, and specifically, a large library. Lilith (https://inkbunny.net/s/1726223) and Alexander (NSFW...https://inkbunny.net/s/1051377) would also be part of these stories and they also include the trade I do with https://inkbunny.net/Gehenna involving Heru and Kin.
The idea behind Howard being a bug like creature was as a contrast to the bug creatures on Monu (the continent Chani and Desmond live on) that was a part of society, rather than a threat to it. The Scar is the other bug species, haven't posted any art of them yet. I have started a character sheet for this guy, but I wanted to revise his appearance a bit first and flesh out his species.
7. Lofti's Butchers I drew this before I'd even created Lofti as a character (https://inkbunny.net/s/1554889). Nothing really special about this piece, it's just very... wrong perspective wise.
8. Daring Desmond Portrait piece of Desmond. Wanted to give him a really fluffy look in this. Unfortunately this just ended up being one of those pieces I couldn't seem to get right. A lot of that I think comes from the angle of the background against Des' head and neck.. it just all looks off.
It's good to see the unfinished work. Gives an appreciation that not everything springs full-formed from the artist's stylus - it requires hours of work slaving over a hot tablet. Even then it doesn't always come out right.

Yeah, not everything works out as intended or turns into something else that can be considered a finished piece of work. Though from looking at other artists stuff, they can be an interesting view on how they create a piece.
