Well this is the story of when two of those families met and the bond that formed between not just their children but themselves as well. Also serves as Z-Fighter Storm's back story :)
The Origin of Z-Fighter Storm
Deep in the mountains lived a family. But this was no ordinary family, this was the Son family. Happily living together were Goku, Chi-Chi, and their 17-year-old son Goten. But that wasn't all as many animals lived around, including a few intelligent ones. The Thunder family was just such an example. Their 7-year-old son Storm had been friends with Goten since he was 3 and Goten was 13. They had a wonderful relationship despite the age difference and Goten often babysat Storm.
However what neither family was aware of, until about a year ago, was that Goten was secretly teaching Storm in the ways of the warrior for the previous 3 years. Needless to say Storm was a quick study. It wasn't long before he was not just flying but also using Ki-blasts and even going toe-to-toe with Goten in his strongest Super Saiyan 2 form. He was, by far, the strongest natural Earth-based creature on the planet.
However when the Son's and the Thunder's found out well it did not start pretty. Goten got an absolute tongue-lashing from Chi-Chi while the Thunder's were just aghast. However then Goku, mighty Goku, went up to Storm, knelt down, and simply said "Show me how strong you are." as he powered-up. Storm smiled and looked at his parents, and said "Mommy, Daddy, watch me." He then turned to Goku and, as he became surrounded by a white hot aura, simply said "Bring it on!" Goku couldn't believe it as he powered-up further to SS2 just to match Storm's power. They then squared off...
...and they took off into the air and the fight began. It's hard to describe everything that happened but needless to say Storm was amazing! Even Goku was having trouble and powered-up to SS3. However, despite the odds, Storm was still holding his own! After a while Goku said "That's enough!" and powered down and landed. Storm, breathing heavily, did the same. Goku turned to Chi-Chi, who nodded, then to the Thunder's and said "I understand how much of a shock this must be but your son is a mighty warrior. He has a power level I haven't felt in ages and he is in complete control of them, which is extremely rare at his age." Goku turns to Goten and says "You are a heck of a teacher!" to which Goten smiles embarrassed.
Storm went to his parents and said "I know this is not easy but Mister Goten and his dad believe in me and everything! This is something I really wanna do! Mommy? Daddy? Please let me continue training with Mister Goten! Pleeeaaasssse?!"
Papa Thunder turned to Goten, looked him straight in the eye and, in a gruff voice, said "Can you guarantee our son will be safe?" "Yes sir, you can count on me! After all I had great teachers." said Goten indicating to Goku and Chi-Chi. Papa Thunder knelt down and looked at Storm, smiled, and said "If this is really what you want then you may continue. Just make sure you are safe." "YAHOO!" yelled Storm as he jumped in the air, then dove stright into Goten and hugged him. They were about to fly off when Goku said "Hang on! Storm I have something for you." He transported to the house and back within a minute and handed Storm a box, which Storm opened right away. It was a Fighters Gi, similar to Goku's, but different colors.
Storm smiled and hurriedly changed and flew back to Goten and yelled "LET'S GO!" as the boys flew off to train as their parents looked on, smiling. To this day the boys are still friends and continue to train and play. However Goten hopes that Storm will never have to face the horrors he did as a child, but knows that if the time comes both he and Storm will be ready to fight for what's right! After all that's what it means to be a Z-Fighter.
