I bike to work everyday, but the sidewalks around my workplace are in terrible condition. I got distracted for one damn second, didn't see a pothole and, next thing I knew, there was a floor on my face.

Ouch! I know that feeling. But I was able to group myself in the fall and hit my palm, and elbow, Did hurt alot, but after a month or two it got back to normal.

A few of my dads friends hit the pavement before. One destroyed her teeth as she crashed gum-first into the border. I got striked down by Tram-trails myself twice.

That reminds me of my teens, I got into bmx as a teenager. I remember being 14 going for a ramp that I never tried before, well it went bad like most times before. I came down on my front face and jaw and it knocked me out, I woke up in any ambulance with my tongue split in two, missing teeth, and split my forehead. Should have listened to ma wear a helmet, but back then it was cool to not wear one.

That happened to me back in my teen years when a loose front fender bracket caught the front wheel and wrapped around it.

Yeah, THAT second. Always the same one. You are focused all the way, but at THAT second you aren't there is something to make you fall That second should be forbidden by law to happen.
