Stormy's history deals with a few issues, but one in particular that sits at the forefront of his mind is the banishment from his own species. Before he found the cave that he calls home however, he wandered around aimlessly for quite some time. This rarely made for any interesting encounters, but sometimes it was possible to run into ruins like these under the ocean.
Seeing them only served to remind him of what all he had lost due to his inherent weakness, size and passive nature compared to his races extremely volatile nature. Though these time also served to fill him with the beliefs that it may be possible for him to get along with land dwellers, a notion that would inevitably lead him to the cave later.
Ahh, but regardless of the implications, I do quite like this piece a lot, the colors and ruins across the back make for a really beautiful corral reef like design formed in the deep ocean across it's floor. The expression is very nice a well, and the unique bend of his chest being a nice added touch to Stormy's design that served as one of his other reasons for being rather odd (Stormy is quite feminine, though he doesn't try to be). It hasn't been drawn like that for quite a while, so it's nice to see it done like that once again! In anycase, I apologize for the long description, I hope others love this as well! And thank you for those who read til the end!
