Helio is nothing if not supportive of Hound, his lacking self-confidence is overshadowing the fact that he is truly a cool and capable guy! And Helio wants to do his best to make sure Hound knows this~
Despite that, Helio can't help but feel some less than positive emotions seeing Hound succeed seemingly so easily, while he's not. Helio says he just doesn't give much of a care about it, but in truth, he's trying hard, and every weak result is more and more soul crushing.
He wants to pretend those feelings don't exist. He wants to be happy with what he's doing. The last thing he wants to do is get angry at his best friend for doing nothing wrong, but it's... difficult.

Wow, Zander. This is new for you, never 'spected you to storytelling type, but this is actually very cool! Very interesting topic to bring up, stuff like this can make relationships really hard. Communication is always the most important thing in relationships (Friendships and otherwise!), though, Helio doesn't seem like the type to just speak what's on his mind though. Poor guy.

Between his shakey self-esteem and abusive big brother, beneath his chill attitude Hound just doesn't see much in himself, but Helio can see a whole lot more. Part of his mind wants to tell Hound about his jealousy issues, but the other part doesn't because it goes against what he's been supporting Hound on so much!
There may come a day when Helio will reveal his true feelings, perhaps when those test scores start becoming genuinely important and he has no choice but to reveal that he's been trying this whole time. But when that day comes... Hound'll be there for him.

It's always been interesting to me how opposites attract like they do. Like it's some untold ideal that everyone follows just by nature, nobody can ever explain it, but it happens! These two don't stray from that very much, one is self-deprecating, though cunning and naturally skilled like he wouldn't believe. The other is an unskilled, failed overachiever with the heart and drive to work towards something, but whose mind gets in the way. Truthfully, the duo could absolutely learn something from one another. A perfect match, if they could work past all of their issues together.

My stories are a mishmash of standalone scenarios that get called back in future images with recurring characters and turned into character development l3 And in the case of these two, I like it so much that I end up making images specifically for character development instead of just tying things in through porn.
