Agreed. Its not a big deal for me either. I fired my first rifle at 6 years old. I just wanted to make sure to promote safety since it can be a sensitive subject for some. No big deal. I love firearms. I think everyone should know how to use them. Especially rifles. They are so much fun! <3 :)

Unless there is a dammed good reason you shouldn't (violent thug and the like). It's been so long I don't remember and as I have legit mental health issues not safe. But I am a good shot and gun ownership in New Zealand (where I live) is a relatively speaking non-partisan issue, good vetting system I guess. Though I'd NEVER let a 6 year old loose with one! Shooting with one is another matter.
