Personally I don't consider myself a furry, nor even just a 'furry artist.' I draw a wide-range of things, and I enjoy a wide-range of things, and don't want to be classified as just one thing.
I have nothing against anyone who calls themselves a furry, and I'm mature enough to again know that there are different levels of any fandom. I can separate my art from myself. What you're commissioned to draw isn't who you are. :p
I think the internet has... somewhat relaxed on the whole 'furry' thing as of late. It's not nearly as taboo or frowned upon as it used to be? I think there are a lot more ppl understanding that liking anthro character aesthetics doesn't make you a 'furry' either.

I feel you. On the on hand I don´t want to be put into categories either, but on the other hand I want to define myself by being part of different groups I can count myself in to ... I think the tendency goes to more tolerance as a whole slowly toward Furries as well, but there´s still room for improvement.
