While I find the telling his friends about it to be somewhat questionable, he was at least open about it being an internship 'with benefits' and nothing more. Internships usually never last for more than 3 or 6 months.

No shade please but I'm genuinely curious to all the comments above-
Why is everyone suddenly disliking daddy dog for simply talking with his friends about Andy? I'm genuinely clueless to what's wrong with that when he's probably concerned for Andy and just wants outside feedback on it? That's just my interpretation on it
As for the artist- I seriously love this story and thank you for going through the work to drawing, writing, and posting it!

Exactly. If anything, it really exemplifies the opposite; Emery cares well enough to show concern for him, and needs the help of his friends. I don't know how that makes people bad.

Totally agree. Who exactly is he supposed to vent/get advice from? Andy's behaving oddly, and he's trying to get him to open up. When there's no opening up on Andy's end, he's seeking advice from his friends. Very normal behavior.
As for Andy "deserving" better, let's not forget how Volume One ended. This series has a lot of characters making poor choices.

Probably the same reason that jerk on the far left is acting like that. He thinks he's morally superior and incapable of making bad decisions. People are prone to drama just in general; when they're part of a fandom, they tend to get even worse.
Of course people are going to turn on Emery, just like there are people who turned on Cooper when he started causing problems and being stupid. There are sites where this is hosted where the comments of it are nothing but Twilight-level fangirl wars over whether Cooper or Emery would be better for Andy. And none of them get why all of the characters are neither good nor bad, but just people trying to make the most of their situations.

Well hey, I mean-- it's not up to us to tell people how to enjoy their comics or interpret the character interactions and thought process. If the artist wrote the characters as they are, we as viewers should understand that that's what these characters are and enjoy the ride seeing how their lives would play out. I was simply curious of the sudden dislike towards something as simple as "talking about it" when that's completely normal and in fact, healthy when it comes to dealing with stressful times.
But hey, that's just MY interpretation on it -shrugs-

That is the same bear morph from earlier. Unless we're in for a heck of a surprise, the bulldog is right, I just can't see Andy working at the Rail, either.

As I said in the previous page the old fart showed his true colours. Wonder how many are going to defend him now and saying how he "cares" about Andy and that Andy should stay with him.

I'm actually surprised anyone saw Emery as something different. He was a work guy who was looking to get his rocks off. I didn't paint him up all rosy or smear him, as I saw that's how he was from the beginning. Though- he's a nicer guy in private than he is when he hangs out with his buddies and talks exploits. Nothing there really throws me.
