I've had very inspiring ideas during the days of severe depression and bullshit and while some of these were writing a story I miiiight make a reality someday, there were ideas for animating some of my favourite songs -one of which even has a 1/3rd if the storyboard done, a good minute even animated cause screw it, it was fun- but while those stagnate or are left in the dust cause work and stress and all that fun stuff always gets in the way; this. This happened. And it was fun.
I've bought 5 lbs of air dry clay with a 40% coupon at our local Hobby Lobbu -only 6 bucks for a huuuuge block and it smells like baby powder and it's white and I love it! ;w;- and had some fun with it. I really wanted a Spyro figurine , but most didn't look good enough, the 300 dollar one is too big and super pretty but.. no.. I ain't buyin' that. :Y Sooo I got silly and said I'll make one. If nothing else it'll be soothing therapy and it was a lot of fun indeed!
Poor thing has been neglected for a while, then chiseled, then mod podge'd , then sit for weeks, THEN I decided to do a half-ass job at painting, but I half-ass things in a way where they fortunately turn out cute. So now we have an adequate little Spyro looking at us on the shelf!
He's nowhere near perfect, but it's the journey and the little flaws that make it special. -w- And now I'm starting to like clay too. No cracks, easy to use and you can even chisel it. Go git sum and make pretties! :Y
ooh really nice and cute, i enjoyed working with clay back in high school but i need to learn new clay and hardening techniques since i can't really use a kiln anymore.
