Character Sheet for Lyza Leonidovna Alatyrtsev
Nickname(s)
Liz, Lyz (lit's), Lyzy (lit's-ee)
Character Description
She is a typical seashell-white rabbit. She is 3'5'' tall and weighs 68 pounds. Her most distinguishing feature is a bleached patch of scarred fur right between her eyebrows that is roughly in the shape of a fleur de lis.
She has long, stiff ears (not lop ears), and a spade tail.
Personality
Lyza is often seen "missing the mark," as it might be said. Though she is a bit clumsy, has trouble speaking big words, and is often openly laughed at and made fun of by her peers at times; she has a big heart, a genuine and cheerful nature, and raw determination.
She is dangerously skilled at hiding her true state of mind from almost everyone, sometimes even her brother. How she feels and what she thinks may not harmonize with her outward expression at the time.
Likes/Dislikes
She loves her older brother. She also loves the color baby-blue, and is often wearing it or has it somewhere close by, especially at home. She enjoys playing the flute, but is highly critical of herself. She likes horses, but not to the degree that some girls might, as well as plushies, to the degree that some girls might love horses. She is also fairly adept at ice skating.
She hates drugs and violence. She fears shouting and fighting, arguments and quarrels. She doesn't like big words or words with complex syllabicity. She's tired of being the brunt of others' jokes and teasing, and envies people who are popular like Rini and her group. She has a well-kept fear of losing friends, or being alone in a place where no one knows her.
Background/History
Before she was even through with Kindergarten, Lyza was the victim of abuse by her older brother. While she was too young to understand exactly what was happening, she antagonized her brother about his drug abuse, and often tried to impede or prevent him from enjoying it, never with any success.
She would often relieve her anxiety and stress by playing the flute in the backyard, in the sanctity of her pink play-castle. She would sometimes skip school just to practice all day, especially after a particularly harsh incident with her brother. Because of her constant practice, she is abnormally advanced at the instrument for her age, held back only by the simple problem of her hands being too small to play properly. By the time she was in third grade, she was able to emulate several songs from her favorite Disney movies, which she learned completely on her own and by ear.
As she grew up, the environment of her household became worse and worse, and her mentality began to wither to the point where she had almost given up with her brother. She decided she wanted to try marijuana, to try and understand and maybe garner some approval by her brother, but she didn't know how. Just as she was gathering the courage to ask her brother, his friend was killed, and he gave up drugs altogether. More importantly, he started to treat her differently; for the better.
She was able to see the genuine change in her brother, and shortly forgave him for everything he did--but only internally. She has yet to confront her brother about how he feels toward the past, but the method and the moment of doing so eludes her.
