Lots of stuff to talk about. Bear with me. Some disjointed thoughts here.
First off- I'm done! Phew! I had three stories to tell. I made three chapters. What an ordeal. I won't say I didn't grow attached to these characters. Naturally, I dwelled a bit on their futures. Growing up, graduating, going to college, settling down, getting married, having families, etc. But that's not the same as having a story. So instead, I think, I'm going to leave them as is. Ageless, enjoying their summer, and their lovers, forever and ever. They've been through enough anyways.
It's time I took a break. I've said that before and I can't last a week. What can I say? I like drawing, especially porn. It's not work. Making 200+ page comics? That's work. It's not just trying to maintain a schedule to keep an audience happy. I feel a duty when I'm halfway through a story, just to finish the thing, if only for my own satisfaction. Still, I get tempted to work on other stuff, especially porn, which sets things back, I want to do other stuff, draw things I haven't drawn before, different characters, different techniques, etc.
So what's "Summer Break?" I'm hoping a kind of fix for the above. Not a chapter, but a canon picture set concerning the characters I enjoy, and hopefully you do to. There's no story here, no plot, no dialogue. A few bits here and there might be sequential (for example, the kids spending a day at the waterslide park), but that's just settings. Most will be one-off pieces. A handful will be safe, some suggestive, most hardcore porn. The general theme is summer break- you know, swimming, skinny dipping, waterslides, barbeques, camping trips, watersports, beating the heat, bikinis, and of course fucking like rabbits. Also included- rabbits, pandas, iguanas, kangaroos, and lots of background characters you've seen before. Why not? They're just as horny.
A few comments have discussed future possibilities for these characters involving more chapter 2 style swapping/group sex. None of that will happen in the future. Of course there's always non-canon porn.
Which brings up the other pool I'm going to be working on in the near future. All the goofy one off non-canon porn ideas that might pop into my head at any given time. Weird stuff, like the all-the-way-through pic from awhile ago. De-aged young cub stuff, up-aged stuff. Possibly including but not limited to...
-more preggo art (seems pretty popular based on comments), birthing?, hypothetical hybrid babies (several crocophant comments recently), incest? (no comments on that, but seems a logical extension)
-rule 63? I'm thinking maybe some scenes from chapter 2 gender-swapped? Gay Sarah and Lisa? Femwoody gangbang?
-Humanized? Feralized? Human on anthro? Bestiality?
Ah, anything goes, really. I'm not going to offer requests, but keep up with the suggestive comments in the comment sections. It's good to know what kind of things people are interested it.
So what about more chapters? Yes, yes, I've got lots more ideas for new chapters after I get all the porn worked out of my system and am ready to tackle them again. They won't be about the main characters, but we'll see them again as supporting characters, cameos, and narrative devices. I expect most chapters to be much smaller, and typically involving more specific kinks than vanilla sex.
Here's one example- I was thinking about egg-laying, and how that might work in a setting such as this one. So I'm going to have a short chapter, probably about the length of the deleted scene from chapter 3, with characters having a conversation on the subject, and the porn would be egg laying porn, naturally.
Another chapter- a story within a story, a character (the background cow girl), writes a science fiction story for English class, which is a sort of "The Handmaiden's Tale" in an anthropomorphic world, involving teen pregnancy, lactation, dairy industry, etc.
What about the sweet character-driven romance stories about people falling in love? Oh I've got at least a couple more of those, involving all new characters that remind me of the main ones.
The first one is an epistolary story, told about a couple of kids that meet online. It starts out all in e-mails. Eventually they start trading pics. Then lewd pics, then a transition to traditional comic format when they finally meet. I'm sure the text-based format in the beginning is going to turn off a lot of readers. On the other hand, I'll be able to tell a story much deeper than chapter 3, in a fraction of the time.
The second one, in contrast, will be the opposite. No text at all. No dialogue beyond a few ideograms in word balloons.
Well, that's where I'm at now. Summer Break and the non-canon porn folders will be updating regularly until I start the next chapter. No idea when that will be. We'll see. I'm sure by the time I'm done with this, I'll have a bunch new ideas I want to work on.
