Character Sheet for Coniophanos
Character Description
A delightful chap with a bright smile and optimistic outlook, Coniophanus had always inexplicably found himself with a distinct lack of friends. He's a sorcerer, you see, with the innate ability to summon shadowy serpents, usually at his own volition. And people tend to freak out when snakes appear out of nowhere. Especially smoking snakes of pure neon-green darkness.
Not one to be upset or sad about it, he simply marketed himself as a 'Daring Mercenary for Occult Mages, Necromancers, and other persons of a strong disposition" and did exactly that, bodyguarding folks around town 'n on the road.
He's never had much of an interest for magic, and thus never really learned how and why his powers work, but his theory is that the snakes flow out of portals that lead out of his own subconscious mind. This because the snakes follow his emotions rather than any direct order. There is no real limit to the amount of snakes he can spawn, but they disappear after 24 hours/getting too far away from him/in intense light.
He wields a jar on a stick with a portal in it to summon his snakes, but this is just for effect; he could summon them out of his sleeves/pockets/mouth if he wanted to. Because his portals give off an eery spooky green glowy smoke, he has one on top of his hat at all times. Gotta look cool, y'know?
