See, Cinder is a unique woman in a few regards. Chief among them is in her AU the Echidna race is traditionally polygamous, meaning the practice of multiple spouses is quite common. Furthermore her life left her with a strong distaste for men in general with the exceptions of Spike and Smoke, Midnight had to work hard just to get her to open up to the idea for relationships in general.
In Cinder's mind Looru is the First Wife, basically a matriach of the family under the husband. It's difficult for Cinder to accept that since she's such a proud and headstrong woman, but for the family she's willing to manage. I wanted her to be something special for Looru too. A good friend, a sister, maybe they could grow to see each other as lovers as well? Of course they seem to be on opposite ends of the spectrum for personalities. Looru as near as I can tell is a complete Angel where as Cinder is a barely tamed Demon. XD

^^ don't worry for the family. Mitchell for exemple is more than happy. Light and Miru are just sad that their mother isn't happy, and isn't smiling naturally everytime anymore. even if she hides it. The matter is Looru can't understand the idea of first wife or such. She doesn't consider herself as more important. She simply thinks that if Midnight married Cinder it's because he truly loves her, and she considers that she is a weight / burden for Midnight, preventing him to live his love with Cinder. Plus she also knows Cinder's past and truly wants her to be happy, thinking it's her turn to taste happiness. So even if sad, she just doesn't want to interfere and for a time she acted more like the cleaning lady than the wife, never wanting to bother them and feeling bad if Midnight was beiing tender with her in front of Cinder... Since for Looru, it's Cinder the wife now.
Of course Midnight and her argued a lot. Midnight is so pissed off he can't just enjoy two wives... XD ^^""" they had a lot of moments they tried to explain eachother, but at the end I think none of them can really accept or understand the other point of view. So Looru just tries and deal with it, trying to still act as a couple. She loves Midnight too much to leave, and at the same nothing will never be the same... Here's the story ^^

It makes something more real (cause indeed, real life isn't a succession of happiness ^^) As I said they indeed had some argues and Looru deals with it now, accepting it a little more. But beiing who she is... Yeah, I can't imagine her reacting in any other way ..^^"

^^" Ah... I should point out that a small portion of Cinder's abilities is sensing emotions, none of this would be lost on her. And she would act to make Looru understand... Even if she has to slip into her dark side a bit to hammer the point home.
Polygamy to her isn't about one spouse being more important than another, but a certain hierarchy does help keep things sensible to her. I regret to say it's perfectly in character for Cinder to outright backhand Looru if it was becoming too difficult to get the idea across that Cinder's presence changes nothing for her relationship. Either that, or muscling past her own inhibitions to just haul Looru into a kiss in front of Midnight. It all depends on how frustrated Cinder is with life in general at the moment.
