Character Sheet for Arkethius Cicero Rachaun
Nickname(s)
Ket
Sex/Gender
Male
Species
Tiger
Age
11
Character Description
He is a typical orange / yellow tiger. He is 4'1'' tall, and weighs 71 pounds.

He has few distinguishing characteristics about his appearance, other than his stripes. He dresses plainly, does not comb his short headfur, and in general looks like an average boy.

His most distinguishing trait is his eyes. Colored yellow, the way he gazes reflects a mind much older than his age. Some may be perturbed by this appearance, but most generally find it just plain weird-looking.

Physically he is not the strongest nor the fastest, but he does appear that way. Very skinny and almost malnourished, he gives the appearance of being more muscular than he actually is.
Personality
Ket is an introvert. He hides his emotions and prefers not to be the center of attention. He is passionate about learning things and knowing things, especially if they relate to Egypt.

He is often reading or thinking, speaks little unless spoken to, and prefers to observe and ponder the world around him.

Socially isolated, he does not like to confront others, and especially avoids conflict. While apathetic toward others, he will help solve a problem if he feels he can.

Against his usual tendencies, he will bring conflict and confrontation on himself when it comes to Ritzer, the school bully. Believing that conflict with Ritzer is inevitable, he opts to have it happen on his own terms, in a way that he can control it. In this way, he is somewhat of an implied martyr for the other kids.
Likes/Dislikes
He loves anything related to Egyptology. Aside from that, he loves to read, and he loves puzzles and riddles. He will generally try to challenge his mind as a way of occupying himself in his lonesome. Occasionally he will go to the library or the park, especially on rainy days or days when his mother forces him out of the house.

He hates confrontation and being the focus of attention. He will put up with it, but in general he tries to avoid it at all cost, unless someone needs him to help solve a problem or addresses him directly. He harbors extreme resentment toward his father, and though it is related to the circumstances that brought about the divorce of his parents, it is not known exactly when or why the resentment came about.
Background/History
Ket is the male protagonist of the Raspberry Saga.

An only child, he grew up while his family was still whole, and with his grandfather as his role model. But in the span of just a couple of years, he lost both.

The death of his beloved grandpa sent him into a reclusive state, despite already being socially isolated from most of his peers. Just as he was beginning to come to grips with his loss, his parents underwent a divorce. However, the divorce did not seem to add that much to his attitude, but he did agree to repeat the fifth grade, giving him a chance to stay where he felt comfortable just a little longer.

Sometime after the divorce, he developed an extreme hatred of his father, for reasons none outside the family know. He lives with his mother and sees his father infrequently.

Due to the stress and reluctance to deal with the emotions of that tumultuous period, Ket turned to a world of fantasy and philosophy. He tore through books, and began reading works of a much higher grade level. Through that reading, he began to pick up morals and concepts that helped mature his personality and way of thinking a lot sooner than an average child's might.
Relatives/Family
Mother: Micah Rachaun
Father: No longer affiliated
Grandfather: Deceased
World/Setting
The world of the Raspberry Saga is treated as realistically as possible with the exception of anthropomorphic characters instead of humans. It is not meant to take place in any particular geographical location.

Notable locations:

Raspberry Line
The titular location of the first story in the trilogy. Raspberry Line is the street on which Ket's house is.

Lonely Oak Elementary:
The titular location of the second story in the trilogy. Lonely Oak Elementary is the school where most of the characters go. Its geography is introduced in the first story, and greatly expanded upon in the second.

Character-specific locations:

The library, or "Mold Farm"
Ket will go to the Mold Farm whenever he needs to get out of the house, either out of boredom or when forced by his mother. He loves to peruse the books and read, or sometimes just play games involving the books themselves. He rarely uses the computers.

Bloomful Park
Not far from his house, the park is fairly large and has lots of sports-areas. However, given his nature, Ket prefers to go to a long-abandoned playground located in a section of the park no longer managed. He spends time here doing some exercises such as chin-ups, or upside-down crunches on the monkey-bars.
Body
Orange-yellow fur.

At 4'1'' and 71 pounds, he is fairly skinny for his age, but he keeps active so he has muscle tone that makes him appear stronger than he might actually be.

His yellow eyes have a gaze that gives him the appearance of being older than he actually is, and he is rarely seen with a smile or non-analytical / serious expression.
Clothing
Jeans and T-shirts. His clothes are typically old and worn, plain and simple. His shoes are practically falling apart.
Accessories
He rarely wears hats or other accessories regularly.

I cannot tell you how excited I am to be posting this! Ket, on the other hand, doesn't appear too keen on having everyone looking at him like this xD He much prefers being the analyzer over being analyzed.

This is very special to me, not only because it was done by a good friend, but also by a reader. It's humbling to see the results from someone who has happily walked through the journey I've penned, while dealing with a few adjustments on my part.

In some ways, PSI knew what I wanted better than I did. For example, I wanted to have a few expressions, since the characters are so personality-driven. Of the examples of expressions I gave for them to depict for Ket, "him thinking," which is an obvious one, was not among them. But, there it is, and it's easily my favorite one.

I hope that you, especially the long-time readers, enjoy this as much as I do. And, as you may be thinking: considering this is a character reference, there is definitely more to come.

Oh... So you're new, huh? Stumbled upon this and not quite sure what I mean by "the journey I've penned?" Well then, if you'll allow me the pleasure of guiding you to the beginning, please take one step, and see where it takes you.
