Me and my partner had a similar "aging up" of our characters. Started as a young teen brother sister couple when we met in our 20s. Then within the last year we realized that our characters weren't really reflecting our current (IRL 30s) emotional states and levels of maturity. So we aged our young teen dragons into their early 30s with young teens of their own and it's just been wonderful.
