Slowly, Midnight holds the quivering mass in midair, each swish of his arms directing it with careful movements. His bare feet shuffle along the carpet while he brings the water up, down, and into a looping stream. "It's not really that easy!" he chuckles, blue eyes flicking over to the amused fox bard in his company. "Any more water than this and it just gets too much. Gotta be real careful here!" Smirking, Valdis sits a little straighter. "You know, I'm no slouch in the elemental magics myself! Let me have a try!" he offers. "Let's see if we can both work this thing!" Midnight is all smiles at the offer, and a gentle clenching of one fist coalesces the sparkling, clear-blue mass back into a softball-like shape. It was nice enough that Valdis wanted to see his (frankly limited) powers up close, but an offering of assistance was a heartwarming gesture! "Sure! Two water-shapers are better than one!" Slowly, he lets the ball down toward the fox's outstretched hand, able to feel the weak bonds of magic tingling with his Chaos Energy. It makes the ball wobble and ripple, as they try to find a common balance, though soon they're able to swish the water back and forth much faster than before, guiding the fluid in tandem. In their minds, it's almost symbolic of their quirky little friendship, with Valdis the outgoing type with plenty of adventures (and fair share of naughty shenanigans) meshing with Midnight's quiet and sexually uneventful lifestyle (though it's amazing he can come up with such... interesting stories using just references!). It somehow works, so they don't question it. "I can practically hear you thinking," Valdis remarks with a chuckle and a wink, and Midnight laughs alongside him. He'll have to remember to write his new idea down! |
