My boyfriend's fursona Tigrath holding my ball python (and the first of many snakes) Anabelle. He adores Ana, she is his favorite out of the 5 snakes currently living with us.

Last night Tig was working on math homework. He's in to some pretty abstract shit now and solving 1 problem means solving several problems inside it, so the pure amount of time it takes is stressful to him. I busied myself cleaning reptile enclosures to keep myself from distracting him (I'm notoriously bad at leaving him alone, haha) when I noticed not only had Ana shed, but she'd taken the most massive poop I have ever seen her taken, holy crap, it was huge. So I had to clean that nonsense! I asked Tig to just keep a bit of an eye on her since I was going to set her nearby. He immediately just took her to hold. Instead of just playing with her until he cage was clean, he kept her out until all 9 enclosures had been tended to.

This had wasted a significant amount of time, and it was getting in to the wee hours of the morning with homework left unfinished, but all Tig could talk about was what a good mood Ana had put him in and how she had made his night better. That continued on to every snake (except for Marilyn, who he doesn't go near - she's aggressive) before he asked me politely if I would draw him a cute icon of himself and Ana like the one I did of myself and Elvis. He has never asked me to draw something directly, so I couldn't refuse..

It's crazy how cute I think it is that he enjoys my reptiles like I do and just how adoring of him that he likes my pets makes me. Tig is a great guy. He doesn't give me shit for peddling porn to furries, he doesn't complain about my number of reptiles or preference in animal companions, he isn't annoyed by my often spastic and impulsive behaviors.. he embraces it all with not only ease, but very happily.

If you guys ever find someone who enjoys your shit rather than putting up with it, you never let 'em go ok?

MAN THAT IS SOME SERIOUS FUCKING MUSHY STUFF ON JUST A SUBMISSION OF AN ICON GEEZE but I think the story is cute and worth archiving.
