The colored version of https://www.furaffinity.net/view/5323848/ with the addition of a simple ribbon for added awesomeness. The tails are not shown, but this kitsune has nine tails. According to legends, these types of kitsune are either golden, silver or white in color. I made this one seem like all the three colors. ^\/^.
I made the eyes orange and added a filter to give it a subtle glow. Instead of a rounded bead necklace as originally thought, I decided to make the beads more egg shape with 90 percent visual on each bead layer so as to slightly see through each. The ribbon is blurred to make it seem as though it is moving fast. I gave the ribbon a copper filter to give that sheen look on it. The body paint is just one flat colored layer. LOL. ^\/^.
The necklace was made with the same number of layers as there are beads. The ribbon was made with three layers. The furry body was made with two layers (shadow and base color) with some alterations to each to bring out the strokes more (which added more layers, but were flatten into place to two again.). The eyes are made up of three layers. Base color, duplicate of base with a screen filter and the white shine to make is seem wet and shiny like. The nose is made of two layers. Base color and the wet shininess (which shares the layer with the white sheen on the eyes, LOL.). Background was left blank for simplicity reasons and to avoid cluttering the picture. LOL. ^\/^.
I got the Kanji for 'Nine Tailed Fox' from a royalty site that I cut and past off of the original pic it came from. I then edited it to smooth the characters (which were very jagged after enlarging it). After that I added a glowed outline to make the characters jump out more and seem more lively. I just hope the characters shown really do mean 'Nine Tailed Fox' and nothing else, even if it did come from a royalty free site. ROFL. ^\/^.
At the moment, this character turned out to look so awesome that I may just add him to my fursona's mythos and storyline in some way. Likely in a group of knights that do mystic and / or holy specific stuff. LOL. ^\/^.
