This is a little something I whipped up today. The idea has actually been floating around my head for a couple of weeks. I also have many other ideas I hope to put down into a comic. What I need is time and I tend to be busy as of late. LOL. ^\/^.
And yes, like me, D. Dan is from Minnesota, aye. LOL. ^\/^.
The original line art was a horrible pen and pencil line art with the pencil still yet erased. I simply saved time smoothing the lines by using the nifty 'Cutout' filter that can be found in my old art program as well as my Photoshop Elements 6 art program. Others should try to use that one more often to get some nice clean lines instead of doing so manually. LOL. ^\/^.
The lion character is just some random dude. He is not my character Ecks Leoante, and he acts more like a generic character for the purpose of this comic. Though the nifty way I did the hair tempts me to keep him for later purposes. So very anime like that hair is, and Kovu (character form the movie The Lion King 2) colors to boost. LOL. ^\/^.
I used a pink background to balance out the blue and green colors I used for the jackets since pink is the complimentary color to green and is a goes well with blue in the same manner. Plus it brings warm colors in to the picture and lessens the impact of the cool colors of green and blue. LOL. ^\/^.
