Yes, I finally finished this monster of a drawing.  Now I can start on number three and hope to finish that one by Tuesday.  A simpler idea is in order for that one.  LOL.  ^\/^.

I spent so many hours on this thing and it almost got ruined when my Pepsi decided to go Krakatoa on me.  LOL.  Fortunately it only warped the lower right hand corner, and left a few brown spots that are a bit too small to see, unless you look closely.  One can not see them easily here since I made this into a black and white picture while cleaning it on Photoshop.  ^\/^.

The gloves and boots only seem partially colored in due to the fact that that is how one can, or at least one way, draw and render leather in pencil.  Gives off that nice sheen look.  ^\/^.

The background I made simple since a drawing with a complicated character calls for a simple back ground, and vice versa.  I used a clothed pouch of graphite and oil to get the rendered look of the walls and other areas of the background.  I made the white lines with an electric eraser and a yard stick to keep it straight.  I also used the same yard stick to make the lines for the walls as well.  LOL.  ^\/^.

In total I used 7 different kinds of pencils ranging from mechanical, and the rest being somewhere between 2H and 8B.  ^\/^.

I find it odd the way I added shading on D. Dan with using feathered texture in such a manner.  However, I could not find a decent tutorial on how to add feathered texture to the bodies of birds.  It is either a tutorial on fur, which D. Dan does not have, or how to draw one feather that is not even attached to the body, and D. Dan has quite a few too.  LOL.  ^\/^.

I like how I rendered the fur on Jacques el Noble.  I got the idea from looking at HBruton's style of Anubis and the Dark Desire comics.  I put a little twist of my own though be making clear broad strokes in the direction of how the fur is going so that, while looking at it, one can see the direction the fur is going in as opposed to seeing either just blackness, or hatched lines.  ^\/^.

Another tool I used for this is a blending stump which works much better than my fingers and thumb.  LOL.  The lettering I used in the speech bubble is made a bit to look like calligraphy, but only slightly.  All I did was add a bit of a flair on the ends of the letters that are not rounded and do a looping motion for the ends of other letters.  ^\/^.
