There is something to say for walking barefoot though the grass, under a sunny sky with just enough cloud cover to make it not a harsh light. A light, cool breeze (Although perhaps it kicks up at times!) in your hair...
Poly had yawned in the morning (or was it the afternoon when she woke?) and threw the dress on over herself, walking out into the light and coming to rest on the fence. There wasn't another soul around for tens of miles, and it could be relaxing to just wander the paths, take in the sights... in the distance were some mountains, tips covered in show. Maybe she'd hike over there one day. Not today, though.
She didn't really have anything she HAD to do.. in spite of being alone here, every day the fridge filled, the hearth was stocked. She tried cutting her own wood for a bit... but was a ton of work, doing it with a plain old axe! How did anyone do that? Still, she tried busying herself doing a few various things around. Whenever she focused on it, it stopped doing itself for her, but when she lost interest it fixed itself from whatever she'd done to it.
Still... after a while, it started to get boring. It was sometimes stressful knowing that danger could lurk behind any shadow... but for her, it was just /boring/ knowing that it didn't. So, after she was sufficiently relaxed (and had more or less memorized all of paths and trails nearby) she packed up, reluctantly put shoes on, and headed off to adventures again!
Going to try and start posting things again! I do really wish that when I got overwhelmed I could make like this picture and run off somewhere simple until I was ready to leave.
This is absolutely adorable! I love how happy Poly looks, and the dress she's wearing looks so cute on her. The shade of blue is really pretty with her blonde fur, and I love little ribbon around her waist. I love the peaceful, idyllic feel of the picture, and the way your text really brings that out. While I imagine it would get awfully dull after too long, there is something alluring about the idea of a place where everything is done for you and all you have to do is be there and maybe walk among the flowers in the fields. Not a bad place for a little fox pup to take the weight off for a while, before getting back into her adventures again.
I hope that, even if you can't go to a place like Poly's sanctuary, you can find a way to find some peace and quiet regardless. And I'm definitely looking forward to seeing any new posts from you, too!

She giggles. Thank you~! I know, blue looks really nice on her..and I'm glad you liked the text ^^ It did get boring pretty quickly, but the knowledge she can always come here and stay as long as she wants is nice!
She smiles, hugging after. Thank you~! I have a mixture of naughty and nice ones.

Seems a bit overdressed for this activity to me, but still quite lovely. I completely agree, there's something to be said for the simplest pleasures of this world.
