Appears to be in late teens, but is actually over a hundred years old. Being a rainbow phoenix, his feathering is a mix of the seven colors of the rainbow.
Skills: pyrokinesis (the ability to control flames) and photokinesis (the ability to control light) His main abilities involve the conjuring of fireballs and other flaming shapes, using light to disorient attackers, and create short-use whips of light using photon compression
Personality
Flare has learned over his life cycles to not worry too much about anything. Fearless and optimistic, he has a head-on, can-do approach to life. Though kind-hearted, he's also very vain, and spends a lot of time preening his feathers.

Likes: flying, racing against airplanes, travelling, record-keeping
Dislikes: his feathers getting messy, rain, untrue historic details
Background/History
Flare has lived on the planet for a few thousand years, going through several lives as he reincarnates approximately every two-hundred years. His body may change slightly in coloration, but he retains all previous knowledge and skills. Through his time, he catalogs things he's witnessed and sometimes will enter a school as a student to correct things that have been skewed by bias.
He has no home, instead living rather nomadically, giving him the opportunity to meet new people and add to his records.

Clothing
Flare tends to wear burgundy gloves and shoes, as well as a burgundy shirt that's adorned with yellow and purple bands and emerald clasps. He wears similar bands on his wrists.
Accessories
A book containing notes is usually on his person, hidden in the jacket.
