This was going to be a short animation, but it felt like too much effort for such a dumb joke.

So I attended the speed dating event at Furrnion 2018. I left after the 10 seconds that it took me to confirm that everyone there was biologically male.

We need to look for women outside of the fandom, seduce them and the convert them. It's easier that way.

I'm pretty sure trying to seduce a woman with your "banana" pretty much causes the opposite effect.
I prefer working out to acquire self-esteem and woo them with my chiseled pecs, abs and wits.

Ah yes, that´s probably more effective. But the gaming scene has the same problem of having few females and it´s not like all of the guys look bad or are assholes.
Maybe furry art just isn´t as attractive to girls?

Remember, furry art is a hobby, not a way of life. You NEED other hobbies, you need to go out and meet normal people. If girls won't come to the fandom, you have to look for them outside the fandom. There are hobbies that almost only women take! I would know, I'm the only male student in the zumba classes I attend. Lots of cute single women there!

I agree. But why aren´t more girls naturally into furry art?
Art is very popular with girls, animals are. So animals x art = 80% males - makes little sense oo

I feel its more of a Anime = Female dominant, and Anthro = Male dominant

I always see a crap ton of ladies in cosplay at anime cons...oh and it seems to be a rough balance at gaming cons...kinda a hybrid thing, furries and anime folks -w-

Furry is essentially a sexual fetish and girls just aren't as into all the sexual things guys are. Hence the demographics.

If you want a female your best option is outside the fandom.

To be fair, the stereotype seems to dictate that all furries are relentless sexual dynamos, so even a small gender imbalance would be bound to escalate when the smaller half feels overwhelmed by the bigger one - which then would just revert to having sex with itself, thus the extremely small amount of straight furries and cisgender female furries. But that's just a math-based theory, I am no sociologist.
